Partners are expected to share any questions/topics they'd like to discuss during FC office hours, the Friday before by posting them on Discord. Questions/topics should be relevant to most providers or wallets integrating against the FC Specification. During office hours, we will discuss the latest proposals for updates to the FiatConnect specification and discuss questions or topics from the agenda.
ππ½ Direct Support: post on Discord the Friday before and tag @fiatconnect-devs
Check the Updates & Discord Channels for any schedule changes (holidays, time conflicts, etc.)
Offline answers to well-informed technical questions about the FiatConnect specification. The asker should first read through the FiatConnect specification to see if their question is already answered by it.
Partner Expectations: Askers should be engineers with high familiarity with API integrations (otherwise, it is not realistic that they will be able to implement a FiatConnect compliant API themselves, and more work may be needed in building a technical team that can advance such a project).
ππ½Β How: ask on Discord and tag @FiatConnect-devs
Turnaround time: 2 business days
<aside> β One round of code review on new schemas
</aside>
New providers will often need to add a fiat account schema or KYC schema to the FiatConnect specification. In such cases, the CICO provider should submit a pull request to the specification repo and request a review on Discord, tagging @fiatconnect-devs. Valora will provide one round of code review, such as a pull request. This means an initial review and a follow-up, where it is expected that the follow up will result in approval ALMOST ALL the time, except on rare occasions like a new typo, or an unclear code review comment.
ππ½Β How: post a pull request on Discord and tag @Gus
Turnaround time: 1 week
<aside> β One review for finished API implementations
</aside>
This means Valora will run basic checks to ensure the API works as expected in a test environment. It is expected that these checks will pass ALMOST ALL the time. Major errors, such as missing required endpoints, are not acceptable in this round and will be seen as evidence of low reliability of the technical product. Such evidence may result in the API not being listed by Valora as a CICO option.
ππ½Β How: post the URL for a well tested sandbox API on Discord and tag @Gus. Please also include basic information about your service, such as an English language description of your fee structure, KYC rules, a list of fiat accounts supported, and quote minimums/maximums.
Turnaround time: 1 week
<aside> β Exceptions for Reviews
</aside>
Particularly for reviews on specification updates and API implementations, exceptions may sometimes be requested for the above list of offerings and non-offerings. If FiatConnect developers accept the request, they may do so with a longer timeline to βrate-limitβ recurring requests and to make sure the majority of their bandwidth is spent on servicing requests made in good faith.
ππ½Β How: please reach out to Gustavo on Discord in the #fiatconnect channel to discuss your request
