This kit is designed to provide new partners all the resources to review Connect the World and get started on integrating FiatConnect, an open source API for wallets and cash in and cash out (CICO) providers. Included in this guide is a step-by-step process of the program, links to documentation, and information regarding what to do if you run into challenges. CICO providers who successfully complete the Connect the World program are eligible for a variety of rewards, including a beachhead incentive of up to $50,000 to the first payment provider to integrate FiatConnect in a country and demonstrates on and off ramp services that meet the program quality standards. Additionally, we are offering a volume based incentive of $100,000 for CICO providers who integrate countries with a minimum population size of 2,000,000.
This guide is designed for CICO providers who are looking to offer on and off ramps for Celo assets from fiat currency. Payment providers should have the necessary licenses and credentials to operate a fiat to crypto exchange (or be in the final stages of securing such qualifications). The FiatConnect integration requires engineering expertise and some experience with blockchain development; partners should have technical resources available to complete the integration and maintain a quality user experience for the on and off ramp services.
